APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION FEES POLICY

Application and Registration

Application Fee: A refundable application fee will be required from individuals seeking registration and recognition with SATAHWA. The application fee covers the administrative costs associated with processing the registration request.

Annual Registration Renewal Fee: Upon successful registration, a subsequent annual renewal fee is applicable for maintaining active status within SATAHWA. This will be on your anniversary 12 months later. The annual renewal fee contributes to ongoing.

Fee Structure: Application fee: R750.00 for the first 600 applicants

Application fee for Active Members from other associations: R500.00

Annual Registration Renewal fee: R500.00

Payment Methods

Application and renewal fees can be paid through designated payment methods, including bank transfers, online payment gateways or other specified channels.

A secure and user-friendly online portal will be provided for the convenience of processing fees.

Fee Adjustments:

The application and annual renewal fees may undergo periodic reviews to ensure alignment with organizational needs and services.

Any proposed adjustments will be communicated well in advance, allowing members to provide feedback and understand rationale behind such charges.

Communication of Fee Changes:

Any changes to fee structures will be communicated to the membership well in advance, allowing members to plan accordingly. The organization will maintain transparency regarding the allocation of fees for organizational activities and services.

Application Process:

Interested individuals may apply for membership by submitting a complete application form, along with relevant documentation or endorsement where applicable. The membership committee will review applications to ensure alignment with SATAHWA’s mission and objectives.

Members are expected to adhere to principles and values of SATAHWA, actively contribute to the organization’s goals and participate in fostering a collaborative and supportive community. Each membership category and values their collective impact of a diverse and united community dedicated to traditional and holistic wellness.

Special Application Process for Registration of Traditional Healers and Wellness Practitioners:

SATAHWA provides a special process for Traditional Healers, Ethnomedical Practitioners and Wellness Practitioner to gain official recognition.

This recognition acknowledges their expertise, cultural significance and contribution to holistic wellness.

The application process includes:

1. Submission of Application:

Traditional Healers, Ethnomedical Practitioners and Wellness Practitioners can submit their applications, providing details on their background, expertise and contributions to traditional and holistic wellness.

2. Documentation:

Applicants should include supporting documentation, such as testimonials, community endorsements and relevant certificates or qualifications.

3. Review and Evaluation:

SATAHWA’s Recognition Committee will conduct a thorough review and evaluation of each application based on established criteria, ensuring a fair and transparent assessment process.

4. Interview (If necessary):

In some cases, an interview may be conducted to further understand the applicant’s practices, cultural context, and commitment to ethical standards.

5. Recognition Certificate:

Successful applicants will receive a recognition certificate from SATAHWA, acknowledging their status as registered Traditional Healers, Ethnomedical Partitioners or Wellness Practitioners.

Withdrawals:

  • Voluntary Withdrawal:
  • Members may voluntarily withdraw from SATAHWA by submitting a written request to the membership committee.
  • Voluntary withdraw requests will be processed, and members will be provided with confirmation of their withdrawal status.
  • Inactivity:
  • Members who exhibit extended periods of inactivity without prior communication may be considered for withdrawal.
  • SATAHWA will issue notifications to inactive members, encouraging participation, and providing an opportunity to explain any prolonged absence.

Termination:

  • Non-Compliance
  • Members found to be in violation of SATAHWA’s constitution, bylaws or ethical standards may face termination.
  • The membership committee will conduct investigations into reported non-compliance, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
  • Ethical Violations:
  • Any member involved in activities that compromise the ethical integrity of SATAHWA or the holistic wellness community may face termination.
  • Ethical violations will be thoroughly investigated, and decisions will be made with due consideration to fairness and impartially.
  • Public Misconduct:
  • Instance of public misconduct that bring disrepute to SATAHWA or its members may lead to termination.
  • Decision regarding termination related to public misconduct will involve a comprehensive review process.

Consequences of Non-Payment:

1. Temporary Suspension:

  • Members failing to pay annual fees within the grace period may face temporary suspension (Website Renewal Outstanding).
  • During suspension, certain membership privileges may be restricted.

2. Termination for Non-Payment:

  • Prolonged non-payment of annual fees may lead to membership termination.
  • A fair process will be followed, and members will be notified of impending termination.
